How do you mouse? The invention of the mouse was a breakthrough that changed everything.
- Paved the way to the graphical user interface (GUI).
- Made computers more accessible, easier to use.
- Spurred further innovation in input devices.
It has been decades since the mouse came to the PC for individual use. Can the mouse get better or are we at the pinnacle of its development?

I've been using various versions of the Logitech MX Master family for years now.
The MX Master has a sculpted shape that is comfortable for my hands, as well as clicky main buttons that work for years.
General features across the MX Master family:
- Toggles between 3 different devices.
- Good heft that's not too heavy.
- Rechargeable via USB-C.
What I really liked about the MX Master 3 (photo):
🔸𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹: The scroll wheel switches between click-to-click precision mode and free-scrolling depending on how fast you go.
🔸𝗗𝘂𝗮𝗹-𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀: It supports both RF and Bluetooth wireless. The latter is convenient, but I prefer RF at my desktop PC for its superior reliability.

I've previously written about using a vertical mouse to alleviate the risk of carpal tunnel syndrome or repetitive strain injury.
You should seriously consider it if your wrist has been feeling funny: https://lnkd.in/gGBnYRCb
Personally, I switch between them and the MX Master for its speed adaptive scroll wheel, which makes scrolling through long documents a delight.
What about you? What mouse do you use? Does wireless matter to you?
