Do your next townhall anywhere with extended reality
Create an entire world around you and beam it out in real time.
You can now build an extravagant, outlandish stage for your next townhall or global meeting at a fraction of the cost with this studio.
Was at Canon Think Big Business Series 2024 this morning and spotted this glorious set up by the team at Spring Forest Studio.
A mobile extended reality studio
It took me a while to get it, but this is what an extended reality studio looks like. Complete with multiple cameras, lights, servers - and a huge green screen.
And it's mobile, so it can be set it up at any location.
Extended reality combines virtual, augmented, and mixed reality technologies. In this case, they can create an entire world around you and beam it out in real time.
- A tastefully furnished room.
- An expansive, over-the-top stage.
- Locations or venues around the world.
If you can dream it up, you can create it.
Making the unreal, real
According to Chuan Sit, Michael Koh, the system offers exceptional flexibility for anything from townhalls to virtual conferences.
Some examples of what is possible:
- Add moving objects (Such as a car).
- Render shadows correctly.
- Indistinguishable from reality.
To be clear, the cost isn't in pennies.
An on-site team is needed to man the various cameras and consoles for the virtual background. Presumably, they will also need to create the "stage" based on client requirements.
However, it's extremely versatile and considerably more cost effective than having groups of contractors to build a stage from scratch.
