A belated introduction of my weekly newsletter
Here's what goes into each week's newsletter digest.

As I close on 1,000 subscribers for my newsletter, I thought it would make sense to share more about what I've been doing with it.
I write a lot and I've been guilty of fixating on the writing and less on promoting the various content I put out - and how they fit together.
If you'll bear with me, let me share more about my weekly newsletter which I started in May last year.
Just once a week
Meant as a weekly newsletter digest for busy readers who don't always have time to log into LinkedIn, it has evolved over the last 10 months.
Since the start of this year, I made it a point to write a standalone commentary to go with each newsletter. This ranges from:
- Some personal sharing.
- My thoughts about the week's news.
- A deeper take on certain developments.
I only write the commentary when I pull the pieces together on Saturday evening, and it's often a surprise to myself what comes out of it.
But why?
Why even bother with a commentary? I've always maintained that writing is thinking, and this is part of my efforts to become a constant storyteller.
In the real world, most editors and creatives write 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 as they rise in seniority and focus on managing or coaching. It's a real pity.
Interestingly, I've discovered that ideas come quickly when I sit down with the intention to write, even if I started with an empty slate.
Then, it becomes a matter of organising ideas coherently, writing and wrapping things up quickly - because I need to go to bed!
